Honor View 20 now official with a 48-megapixel camera and ‘hole-punch’ display

Honor View 20, (aka Honor V20) launched today in Beijing, China, with a 48-megapixel camera and ‘hole-punch’ display.

The V20 feature a 6.4-inch display and Kirin 980 SoC. The device supports GPU Turbo 2.0 technology, which is optimized for game experience, with 55% click delay optimization and 19% stroke delay optimization.

The device also has a 4000mAh large-capacity battery (supporting 4.5V5A super fast charge). It is available in three colors, magic night black, charm sea blue, and charm red.



A new liquid cooling system “THE NINE”, combines both hardware and software for improved thermal performance. Honor’s “AI Smart Cooling” can leverage the power of the Kirin 980 to predict overheating scenarios before they occur.



The View 20 also employs a triple Wi-Fi antenna system, with a third antenna on the back of the device, to allow for better signal reception when the top and bottom of the chassis are covered, as they might be when playing a game.

Camera department, the rear camera setup combines a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 behind a f/1.8 lens with a unique secondary camera. Honor’s new TOF (Time of Flight) sensor is dedicated to improving 3D object recognition.

We don’t yet have pricing information for the View 20. The Honor View 20 was announced for the Chinese market today and will launch globally at an event in Paris on January 22.
