Honor pushes November 2023 update for Honor Magic 4 and 5 with new features

November 2023 software update is now rolling out for Honor Magic 5 and Honor Magic 4 smartphones, and this update has a significant impact on the user experience as it brings a host of new features.

According to the changelog, Honor Magic 4 and Magic 5 are getting a new set of changes with MagicOS version 7.0.0.170 and 7.1.0.183 respectively. The firmware of both devices weighs below 1GB.

In terms of new capability, the new update adds a new clear status bar mode. Users can enable this feature from the settings to show only key status bar statics including Wi-Fi, network, and battery levels. You can also customize the status bar.

The update will introduce a new smart suggestion switch and add an automatic brightness controller button right into the control center slider. The volume key can now turn on or off the flashlight with a double tap on the volume down button without unlocking the phone.

Floating window added support for more systems and third-party applications. So users can now pop up floating windows in respective mobile apps. A custom album cover has been added along with a password lock feature to hide albums.

Last but not least, the new update has a November 2023 security update for Honor Magic 5 and Magic 4 models, which improves the phone’s security aspects. All of the corresponding users are suggested to fetch this new firmware in order to get the new improvements and better the user experience.

Earlier this year, Honor released Magic 5 smartphone, which brings a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 6.73 inches of screen. The phone packs a large 5100mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging. The rear side of the device offers a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 54MP main, 32MP telephoto, and 50MP ultra wide-angle camera.
