Honor Play, Honor 10, 10 lite receiving May EMUI security update

Honor has started delivering May 2020 security updates at a fast pace and expanding it to different devices. As now, this latest security improvement reaching to more smartphones.

Honor Play, Honor 10 Lite, and Honor 10 getting a new EMUI update that installs May 2020 security improvement. Both Honor 10 Lite and Honor Play has already received VoWiFi update but Honor 10 yet receives this calling feature.

Honor will further expand this update to more devices.

What’s in the changelog:

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in May 2020 for improved system security.

Details: The May 2020 update installs security patches from Google fixing different levels of exploits and issues including 2 critical and 22 high and 2 Medium levels of CVEs.

Versions:

Honor Play receiving the May security update with EMUI 9.1.0.382 and size of 228MB.

Honor 10 May update comes with EMUI 10.0.0.178 and size of 234MB.

Honor 10 Lite getting the May security update with EMUI 10.0.0.190 and size of 98.19MB.

Note: Rollout confirmed on Indian Models.

How to update:

1. Open HiCare app
2. Click on Services tab
3. Click on Update
4. Click on CHECK FOR UPDATES
5. Click on Download and install
