Honor Pad X9a grabs UAE TDRA certification, hints at global launch

Honor has listed the Pad X9a tablet on the UAE TDRA certification database. The device is seemingly ready to debut on the global platform, starting in the UAE. Although its launch timeline in the overseas markets is still uncertain.

The company launched the X8a tablet in August last year. Now it is readying a new large-screen model for its consumers and it may initially debut in global markets.

Inputs reveal that Honor certified the new Pad X9a tablet on the UAE TDRA certification site. The device has been spotted with the model number ELN2-W29 and qualified for certification with the registration number ER41090/25.

UAE’s TDRA certificate is a mandatory approval for telecommunication device or systems that a company wants to sell in the UAE. It verified whether the new device adheres to UAE’s regulations and radio frequency standards before entering the market.

Honor Pad X9a is currently certified only for the UAE. It falls in the Wi-Fi-only category. Apart from the model number and Wi-Fi details, the certificate doesn’t reveal any key specifications of the device. But we may find them in the future.

Being an X-tagged tablet, it will be an entry-level product. Hence, it may bring low-end parameters with minor upgrades and limited new features on board.

Pad X8a

The tablet features an 11-inch TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes out of the box with the Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0 software system and runs on Snapdragon 680 4G chipset.

Honor Pad X8a has a single 5MP camera on the rear side and a 5MP camera on the front face. The device installs a massive 8300mAh battery and a quad-speaker setup for an immersive sound experience.
