Honor Magic 7 gets new MagicOS 9 update with camera improvements

Honor is rolling out a new MagicOS 9.0 update for the Magic 7 series with a set of new camera improvements. The company has also added a new useful feature to the device that will detect your motion sickness and suggest some real-time tips.

Magic 7 series debuted several advanced features. Although Honor is now improving those features with a new firmware. The latest rollout optimizes the camera, communication, status bar, control center, stability, and security aspects.

Inputs reveal that Honor Magic 7 series users are getting the new camera improvements update with the MagicOS 9.0.0.137. The firmware is reaching all eligible units gradually. It make take a few days to cover all users in the region.

The latest update improves the AI Ultra HD Portrait mode and Eagle Eye mode. As a result, users will get clearer images than ever. It also adds a new motion sickness display feature that shows tips to reduce motion sickness in public transport.

Camera

• Improves the clarity of AI Ultra HD Portrait 3x
• Improves the clarity of Eagle eye’s super burst shooting
• Optimizes the shooting effect of fireworks scenarios
• Optimizes the frame rate and smoothness of lens switching in photo and video modes.

Communication

• Optimizes the status bar icon display is the Smart Capsule scenario. The status bar can display more icons when the Smart Capsule appears.

Control Center

• Optimizes the Bluetooth connection experience in the Control Center. You can quickly switch Bluetooth devices by expanding the list of paired Bluetooth devices in the Control Center.

Motion Sickness relief display

• The new motion sickness relief display feature is expected to reduce motion sickness caused by riding in public transportation such as dizziness and nausea. (Path: Settings > Accessibility > Motion sickness relief display or pull down the Control Center to add a motion sickness relief shortcut switch by editing the shortcut switch.

Stability

• Improves the system stability and makes your phone run more smoothly.

Security: Parallel Space

• Added support for face recognition, apps in Parallel Space can use the 3D face recognition capabilities of the Main Space.
• Integrates Android January 2025 security patch to enhance system security.
