Honor Magic 7 gets new AI photo-editing features with MagicOS update

Honor is rolling out a massive features update for the Magic 7 series with new AI photo-editing tools. The company has optimized some significant existing capabilities and added new changes to the Control Center as well as system apps.

The firm has just launched the Honor 400 series smartphone with a set of exciting photo-editing tools. Now it is bringing the same tools to more eligible models, and the Magic 7 series users will be the first to experience them.

MagicOS 9.0.0.175 update is welcoming new AI photo-editing features for the Honor Magic 7 series. It has a giant downloadable package of 1.87 Gigabytes.

According to the changelog, Honor is adding many new photo-editing tools to the Magic 7. The list includes AI Reflection Removal, Wrinkle Removal, Dynamic Photos, and AI Expression. All these tools make your image more realistic.

On the flip side, the company is bringing new enhancements for system apps, watermarks, screen recording, Anywhere door, Smart multi-window, and security features to protect your data from scammers. You can check all the features below.

AI Photo-Editing Tools

• AI Reflection Removal: Added the feature of removing from images. Path: Gallery > Images > AI Edit > Magic Photo > AI Remove > Reflection Remove.
• AI Wrinkle Removal: Added the image wrinkle removal function. Path: Gallery > Image > AI Edit > Magic Photo > AI Removal > Wrinkle Removal.
• Dynamic photos: Added the dynamic photo puzzle and edit feature. Path: Gallery > Select multiple dynamic photos > Create > Puzzle.
• AI Expression: Added the feature of restoring facial expressions in photos. Path: Gallery > View Portrait Photos > AI Edit > Magic Photo Repair > Face Restoration > Expression Restoration.

Watermark Editing

• Optimized the picture watermark editing feature. Users can add or edit some watermarks. Path: Gallery > View Picture > AI Edit > Watermark.

Online Themes

• Expand the content display of the online theme bar, support unlimited scrolling, and choose from a large number of themes
• The theme application needs to be updated to the latest version to support new features.
• To access the feature: Settings > Wallpaper and Personalization > Themes > Online Themes.

Clock

• Added a new feature of setting an alarm on a specified date. You can set an alarm on a specific date within the next two years in the Clock app. Path: Clock > Create Alarm > Click the calendar icon to set it.

Screen Recording

• Added the screen recording pause feature. Path: Start screen recording > Screen recording floating window > Click the screen recording pause button.
• Added the screen recording hidden notification message pop-up box feature. Path: Settings > Accessibility > Screen Recording > Screen Recording Hide Notification.

Screenshot

• Added the feature of deleting the original screenshot after sharing. Path: Screenshot > Share > Check Delete screenshot after sharing.

Anywhere Door

• Optimized the Anydoor image dragging feature. Support dragging a single full-length image in some application interfaces, and the long image will no longer be truncated.

Ringtones

• Improved the UX of the ringtone selection interface to enhance the user experience.

Lock screen

• Added “My Lock Screen” column to display the lock screen history and support setting or deleting. Path: Settings > Wallpaper and Personalization > Lock Screen Style > Customize > Lock Screen Style > My Lock Screen.
• Optimize the interaction of the buttons at the bottom of the lock screen and support custom settings. Path: Settings > Wallpaper and Personalization > Lock screen style > Customize > Click the icon in the lower left/right corner.
• Optimized the face unlock prompt interaction. The unlock prompt will no longer be displayed after three successful unlocks to avoid blocking the date display.

Control Center

• Added a vibration effect when sliding the volume bar/brightness bar to the maximum or minimum in the control center.

Smart Multi-Window

• Added floating window style option. Selecting a simple style can hide the top button of the floating window in the small horizontal bar at the top. Path: Settings > Accessibility > Smart Multi-Window > Floating Window Style.

System

• Optimized the battery level display of Bluetooth headsets. It can now show up on both the Bluetooth settings page and the Bluetooth details page in the control center. Path: Settings > Bluetooth > Paired devices.

Glory Sharing

• Added support for transferring files between iPhone and iPod. Download the “Honor Internet” app from the Apple App Store to experience high-speed data-free file transfer.

System Application

• Added vibration intensity adjustment when ringing and system haptic feedback intensity adjustment, which can adjust the vibration intensity. Path: Settings > Sound and vibration > Vibration when ringing/System haptic feedback.
• Added vibration effect for back gesture to enhance the vibration experience of back gesture. Path: Settings > Sound and vibration > Back gesture feedback.
• Optimized the system’s haptic feedback setting level, and moved the system’s haptic feedback switch from the third-level page of Sound and Vibration Settings to the second-level page of Sound and Vibration, making it easier for users to quickly switch it on and off.

Honor Car Connect

• Optimized the stability of vehicle-machine wireless connection scenarios.

Clipboard

• Added a new app clipboard permission control switch, which can be used to manage the app’s permission to read clipboard content. Path: Settings > Apps > App Management > Select an app > Permissions > Clipboard.

Harassment blocking

• Added the feature of blocking calls by region number. Path: System Manager > Harassment Blocking > Blocking Rules > Block unknown numbers in international regions and the home region.

AI face-swapping detection

• Added a new entry for enabling AI face-changing detection in live broadcast/video. When you enable it and watch live broadcasts or videos, wake up the “YOYO Assistant” to perform AI face-changing detection on the face on the screen. Path: Settings > Security > Anti-fraud protection > AI face-changing detection reminder > Live broadcast/video detection.
