Honor improves gaming performance for Magic 6 series via new update

Honor Magic 6 series users are now receiving a new update, which installs gaming improvements to the device. The firmware also has a new feature that can make gaming visuals more attractive, clearer, and stable compared to previous versions.
Magic 6 smartphones are getting the MagicOS 9.0.0.175 update. The build has various new AI photo-editing tools, security enhancements, and some interesting features.
But apart from the new changes, the company is bringing a hidden feature for the flagship device to ramp up the gaming experience. Let’s take a look at the feature.
According to the update details, Honor is adding a new Game Phantom Frame Stabilization Engine feature to the Magic 6 series to boost its gaming performance.
Game Phantom Frame Stabilization Engine relies on AI. It performs the following operations:
- Redefine rendering and display, based on the ability to predict game freezes
- Allocates computing resources in advance at the freeze points
- Uses asynchronous computing technology to render key frames.
All these operations together greatly improve game performance and make the game screen more stable. The feature’s description in the Magic 6 device says:
“When enabled, the feature will improve frame rate stability and reduce stuttering in the device. However, please note that after turning on this feature, the device’s power consumption will increase slightly, and the temperature will also rise.”
The latest gaming feature supports Genshin Impact, Honor of Kings, Honkai Impact 3: Railroad, Zero Zone, Mingchao, and more. Apart from this useful gaming capability, the update carries a huge changelog. You can check all the features HERE.
