Honor grew 77% YoY in Q4 2024 European smartphone market

Honor has made impressive growth in the Q4 2024 European smartphone sales market. The company has achieved an annual progress rate of 77% YoY. It has entered the top five smartphone makers’ list and giving a tough fight to other competitors.
Counterpoint’s report shows that the European smartphone market grew for four consecutive quarters straight, after a long while. The last time the region achieved this success was in the first quarter of 2017.
The report highlights the top five rankers of the Q4 2024 European smartphone market and Honor is one of them. While some rankers achieved a growth of below 30%, the Chinese phone maker captured 77% year-on-year, the highest among rivals.
Honor has achieved a market share of 4%. The brand is considered the ‘real star’ of the fourth quarter of 2024 in Europe. It made significant shipments amid several top brands. With an impressive growth rate, the company scored fifth rank.
Inputs further reveal that Honor has shown a strong performance in Eastern and Western Europe. The Associate Director of Counterpoint – Jan Stryjak said:
“… the real stars of Q4 2024 were realme and HONOR. realme rebounded well from a challenging few years, particularly in Western Europe, while HONOR consolidated its fifth position with a strong performance in both Eastern and Western Europe.”

In Q4 2024, Apple is leading the European smartphone market with a hike of 8% YoY. The company has gained only 1% of the market share compared to Q4 2023.
Samsung is in second place following the robust sales of the Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy A16 during the Christmas festive season. Xiaomi ranked third and received fierce competition from realme, Honor, and Google. It has maintained its lead in Central and Eastern Europe following the success of the Redmi series.
Realme is in the fourth spot with 32%YoY growth. Honor is at the fifth spot and is expected to continue its growth in the coming quarters as well.
