Honor global sales grew by over 50% in December 2024: CEO

Honor is doing great in both Chinese and global markets. After launching a set of flagship Honor products this year, the company’s global sales grew by more than 50% in December 2024. The profit is expected to reach new heights in 2025.

Zhao Ming – Honor CEO published a New Year keynote on his Weibo page on 31 December 2024. He thanked customers for the constant support that made the company withstand the fierce market competition and achieve a lot of progress.

The CEO added that Honor will continue to promote AI products and new strategies to maintain the “positive cycle and sustainable growth of the global business.”

Amid the gratitude and achievements, Honor reported that the company’s global sales increased by over 50% in December 2024. It has obtained profit in many overseas markets. It feels like now the company has become an international firm.

“On the last day of 2024, I have good news to report to you. Honor’s overseas sales accounted for more than 50% in December, and achieved scaled profits in many places, truly becoming an international enterprise.” – says Zhao Ming.

Zhao further implied that many aspects made the win possible. For instance, the company has insisted on using AI and redefining hardware/OS for 8 years. The new Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 runs on AI and opens a new era of OS.

Magic V3 foldable was another hit in the global market that holds a 21% share of the Chinese folding phone market. Honor also surpassed Samsung for the first time, this year in Western Europe for its innovative phones and other products.

Apart from the smartphone sector, the company made achievements in other fields like Honor PC. It also had new collaborations that will eventually help it make better and more creative products in the future.

Ending the speech, Zhao wrote:

“Being named ‘Honor’ is the luck of Honor Company, but also a heavy responsibility. We must come up with tangible innovative results and live up to the expectations of consumers. Dreams are far away, and the road is under our feet. Let us move forward together, fearless of wind and rain, and look forward to the coming 2025!”
