Honor expands AI ultra-clear image editing feature to more devices

Honor has started expanding the AI ultra-clear image-editing feature to GT phones. The company recently introduced this feature with a new MagicOS 9.0 upgrade. Now it is bringing the useful capability to its eligible top-end handsets.

AI ultra-clear image is a unique and useful tool. As the name suggests, the new addition to your phone will help you clear all blurry photos and make them perfect.

It sharpens your accidentally blurred pictures and makes them more focused. If you’re a photo enthusiast and have a MagicOS 9 compatible Honor phone, then you might get this feature soon.

Honor is currently bringing the new AI ultra-clear image feature to GT phone users. The company has already rolled it out to the Magic 7 series. (Check HERE)

Honor GT is getting the AI photo-editing tool with the MagicOS 9.0.0.163 update and a software package of 1GB. The firmware also brings a time group feature to display media by day, home screen customizations, and improved battery life.

Gallery

  • Added a new time grouping feature that supports displaying photos and videos by day/date. (Path: Gallery > Photos > three dots in the upper right corner > Show time groups.
  • Added AI super-clear image feature. (Path: Gallery > Select Image > AI Edit > Magic Photo > AI Super-Clear.

Home Screen

  • Supports a customized home screen and you can customize any segment of the home screen to improve usage flexibility.
  • Added the feature of hiding app names. When it is turned on, the names of home screen icons, cards, and folders will be hidden, making the interface more concise. (Path: Pinch the home screen with two fingers > home screen settings > turn on hiding app names)

Collection Space

  • Added new settings for displaying picture collections. You can set pictures to be displayed in both the gallery and the Collection Space or only in the Collection Space according to your needs. (Path: three dots in the upper right corner of the collection space > Settings > Display Settings > Picture Collections.

Battery Life

  • Optimizes the battery life experience. Optimizes typical user scenarios through the AI smart power-saving engine and reduces reductant power consumption of background apps. After the upgrade, the battery life experience in standby and typical scenarios will be improved.

Stability

  • Improve the stability, make your operation smoother, reduce the trouble of freezes and crashes, and bring a more pleasant user experience!

Security

  • Integrated Android March 2025 security patch to enhance system security.
