Honor became 4th largest brand in Europe with 20% hike in smartphone sales

Counterpoint has shared a new report revealing the smartphone sales in Europe for the top five brands, and Honor has performed extremely well this time with a 20% sales hike. The company has become the 4th-largest OEM on the continent.
According to the report, Honor has grown by 20% year-on-year in the Q1 2025 smartphone sales segment in Europe. The company continued to rise well in the European markets and has emerged as a key winner with its aggressive sales strategy.
Even though Europe’s smartphone shipments have gone down for the first time with a 4% drop, Honor maintained its position and ranked fourth, surpassing realme and many other brands in the smartphone race.
Samsung achieved first place with a 2% decline in smartphone sales, while Apple ranked second, following an efficient sales in Europe and grew 2% year-on-year.

Xiaomi grabbed the third spot with a decline of 8% in phone shipments. The Associate Director at Counterpoint, Jan Stryjak, applauds Honor for its performance:
“HONOR was the only real bright spot in Q1. The brand’s 20% YoY growth during the quarter is a testament to its ongoing strategy to bring strong devices to all segments, whether it is the entry-level X6b, mid-tier 20 series, or the flagship Magic 7 and V3 premium offerings.”
Regarding Europe’s smartphone sales decline, Jan said that the drop in Q1 2025 seems to be a short-term challenge and may improve in the upcoming quarters. Although trade agreements across key markets could witness stability in economic scenarios, and may return to growth by the end of this year.
