Honor 9X series on EMUI 10.1 getting gesture navigation, system improvements and July 2020 security update

While the global users of Honor 9X and 9X Pro waiting to receive EMUI 10.1 for their devices, the Honor 9X series in China, running on EMUI 10.1, has now started receiving some new features improvements.

A month ago, the Chinese variants of Honor 9X and 9X Pro completed the upgrade on EMUI 10.1 but the company is yet to push this major upgrade for the global consumers.

This update for Honor 9X and 9X Pro in China adds a gesture navigation mode for you to quickly switch between recently used apps, and also improves the user experience with the Multi-window and knuckle gesture features.

CHANGELOG:

Gesture Navigation: Adds gesture support for switching between apps. Swipe across the bottom edge of the screen or in an arc across the bottom to switch between apps. To learn more about this gesture, go to Settings > System navigation > Gestures > Settings > Switch between apps.

System: Plays an animation when you touch the shortcut switches on the notification panel. Improves the user experience with Multi-Window.

Knuckle Gestures: Improves the user experiences with the knuckle gesture features.

Battery: Optimizes the Smart Charge mode, reducing battery aging by adapting to your charging routine through AI learning and preventing the battery from being continuously charged when full. (This feature is enabled by default.)

Security: Integrated Android security patches released in July 2020 for improved system security.

EMUI VERSION:

These new improvements for Honor 9X and 9X Pro come with EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.105 upgrading EMUI 10.1.0.103 and size of 708MB.
