Honor 7C getting December security update but not EMUI 9.1

Launched in 2018, Honor 7C is a budget smartphone that comes with good features and runs EMUI 8 (Android 8) but didn’t even get an upgrade to EMUI 9.1 (Android 9).

Since Honor has not promised to rollout OS upgrades for this smartphone, it’s now receiving a new monthly update that brings the December security patch.

December 2019 security provides fixes to 3 critical, 24 high and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) found on Huawei/Honor smartphones. The previous update solved 33 CVE.

Honor 7C receiving the December security patch with EMUI 8.0.0.177 with the size of 78.20. Previously, Honor also rolled out November security for this phone.
