Honor 400 Pro visits Geekbench with downclocked Snapdragon chip

Honor 400 Pro smartphone has now appeared on Geekbench. The company is seemingly performing some pre-launch testing with the upcoming digital series. And looks like the tech giant has made some significant changes in the chip segment.

Some early leaks revealed that the Honor 400 Pro will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, just like its predecessors. But the latest listing points out a big change.

The Geekbench data shows that the Honor 400 Pro smartphone has scored good enough points. The device has achieved 2089 points in the single-core test and 6032 points in the multi-core test. Although the highlight is the device’s chip.

Details suggest that the Honor 400 Pro could use a downclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The CPU architecture for the phone differs from the original SoC.

Honor 400 Pro’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip has 1 core clocked at 3.05GHz, 5 cores clocked at 2.96GHz, and 2 cores clocked at 2.04GHz. You can check the difference below.

CPU Configuration:

• Snapdragon 8 Gen 3: 1 x Cortex-X4 Prime @ 3.3GHz + 5 x Cortex-A720 @ 3.1GHz + 2 x Cortex-A520 @ 2.3GHz.
• Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 downclocked: 1 core @ 3.05GHz + 5 cores @ 2.96GHz + 2 cores @ 2.04GHz

Based on the difference, there won’t be an major change in performance of the Honor 400 Pro smartphone. Though the actual difference will be known in real-life scenarios. Till then, we have to hold our patience.

Honor 400 series has also appeared on the 3C certification database and revealed that the standard variant (DNN-AN00) will feature an 80W fast charging, while the Pro version (DNP-AN00) will support 90W super fast charging capability.

The new Honor digital series could debut this month with an exciting camera setup and interesting AI features. Perhaps the company will soon announce the launch date.
