Honor 400/Pro gets GCF and TUV certifications, nearing global launch

Honor 400 and 400 Pro smartphones are coming soon to the global market as they have now received the GCF certifications. The Pro variant has also been spotted on the TUV database, confirming its launch in more countries across the world.
The company has an interesting strategy to launch its digital phone series globally. It launches alternate smartphone lineups, dropping one and releasing the other.
After the Honor 200 series, the company will likely launch the 400/Pro devices in the global market as they have now qualified for GCF and TUV certifications.
GCF or Global Certification Forum verifies the global interoperability in the devices like smartphones and wearables with embedded wireless modules and networks. It further checks if the devices comply with relevant 3GPP and other standards.

Honor 400 and 400 Pro are receiving the GCF certificate with DNY-NX9 and DNP-NX9, respectively. The listing suggests that both devices support 2G/3G/4G/and 5G network connectivity.
The Pro variant has also received the TUV SUD certification. It has a Class III protection and IPX0 rating. The rating hints that the device has yet to be tested for protection against dust/water. Other than that, the certificate didn’t reveal other details.

Honor 400 Lite is already official in the overseas market with minimal key specs and features. Perhaps the company will soon launch the other two variants globally.
Early leaks suggested that the high-end Honor 400 models will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, whereas the vanilla model will equip Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. It may further bring a new camera module and AI beauty features.
The devices may have 6.5-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes and a large-sized battery for improved durability. We may grab more details about these devices in the coming days.
