A havoc incident has led to a 10 times increase in Huawei satellite communication smartphone users. Heavy rain in Beijing made many people use Huawei’s tech-pack connectivity features that don’t require strong signals to work efficiently.

The source reveals that Beijing went through heavy rain in late July. Under this condition, people were unable to connect with their family members or helpline numbers.

Following this news, Huawei Device Business CTO – Li Xiaolong asked one of his colleagues to check on the number of Huawei satellite smartphone users, and surprisingly, heavy rain in Beijing resulted in a 10 times increase from usual days.

Specifically, most users enabled satellite communication on July 28 and 29. But thanks to Huawei satellite communication, users were able to connect with their family members and make speed dial their trusted ones, without any issues.

Over the years, Huawei has significantly improved its smartphones’ satellite communication in many ways. Starting with sending a satellite message in Mate 50 Pro, to two-way satellite messaging, and then reaching the level of satellite calling.

Pura 70 series launched with the image-sending satellite feature, and even allowed users to edit sent messages. New models further consist of a paging feature that keeps you in the satellite sphere without positioning your phone towards the satellite.

As a result, Huawei smartphones with satellite connectivity are now considered no pani but a blessing in such a havoc condition. It’s really a life-saving feature in such scenarios.
