HarmonyOS NEXT-based SDK of Baidu Maps likely to release on March 25

A new input suggests that the Baidu Maps Corporation is ready to unveil its maps SDK version based on the HarmonyOS NEXT software. It is possible to see the respective app’s new SDK by the end of this month with impressive capabilities.

Huawei is gearing up the development of the HarmonyOS NEXT version and meanwhile, the developers are exploring the latest HarmonyOS developer preview.

Related to this aspect, the Baidu Map Open Platform says to launch a map SDK based on the HarmonyOS NEXT version by March 25. This initiative aims to help several industries to join the HarmonyOS ecosystem via the navigation app.

SDK refers to the Software Development Kit. It remains specific to a hardware platform and operating systems combinations and comprises one or more APIs, sample code, documentation, and other software-oriented components.

HarmonyOS NEXT-based SDK of Baidu Maps could make the navigation application more reliable and richer. In addition, it may contribute to more beneficial services and facilities for consumers as well as other enterprises.

The CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group – Yu Chengdong dropped some clues regarding a major upgrade coming later this year. During the Pocket 2 launch event, he said that Huawei fans will soon obtain a big software update this fall.

Perhaps, the CEO would have been talking about the stable HarmonyOS NEXT version that could meet users later this year. By that time, most of the HarmonyOS NEXT-based apps are expected to be available online.
