HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.1.120 public beta is now live for the top-end Huawei handsets. The company is rolling out the new version with a set of seamless collaboration features. These add-ons may enable devices to connect easily with new PCs.

In recent times, Huawei has dispatched several HarmonyOS NEXT testing builds for its flagship devices. It also increased the number of models getting the new software version. The latest addition to the list is the Mate XT tri-fold.

A report said that the HarmonyOS 5.0 update is under consideration for the Mate 40 series. No doubt, the company will soon bring the latest software to more devices.

For now, Huawei has started rolling out HarmonyOS 5.0.1.120 public beta for Mate 60, Pura 70, Mate X5, Mate X6, Pocket 2, and more eligible models. The update accompanies new changes to multi-screen and cross-device connections.

These features make document editing, app continuation, Bluetooth sharing, and communication experience more comprehensive between multiple devices.

• Enhanced multi-screen collaboration features. It supports multi-screen connections with Huawei PCs running Windows operating systems, logged in to different Huawei accounts through a single tap.
• Multi-screen collaboration supports copying and pasting text between the PC and phone mirror windows for efficient collaborative document editing.
• PC Manager should be running on version 14.0.5.800 and above.
• After establishing multi-screen collaboration with a tablet equipped with HarmonyOS 4, you can copy and paste text between the tablet and the phone mirror window for efficient document editing.

Multi-device collaboration

• Optimize the user experience of communication sharing, Bluetooth sharing, Huawei HiCar car navigation, and other features.

Browser

• Web browsing full text translation and one-click translation between multiple languages (open the webpage > click the four-dot icon in the lower right corner > translate)
