On December 16, Huawei launched the first mobile developer beta of HarmonyOS 2.0 and according to Huawei, this new operating system will revolutionize the way you interact with smart devices.

Wang Chenglu, Huawei’s Consumer Business Software Department said top home industry partners including Midea launching products with HarmonyOS this year. In 2021, Huawei aims to install HarmonyOS in over 100 million devices from 40+ brands.

HarmonyOS 2.0 supports different platforms and developing the same app for different devices could be a big headache for developers. Therefore, HarmonyOS 2.0 utilizes a full range of development tools that ensure an easy and unified development process.

Huawei has installed a distributed application framework in HarmonyOS 2.0 that collaborates between complex devices and merges into simple interfaces, so services can be divided, combined, and transferred by realizing cross-device app collaboration.

Furthermore, the distributed UI controls help developers to improve the efficiency of multi-user interface development and adapt to multiple screen types and interaction methods.

In simple words, HarmonyOS 2.0 app can automatically adjust itself in different types of screen sizes or devices.

In HarmonyOS 2.0, Huawei has added over 50 new UI components to develop HarmoynOS applications on smartphones and to offer a consistent UI interaction experience among different devices.
