February 2021 security improvements released for Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro

Huawei’s Nova series consisted of a mid-range smartphone, which comes with amazing hardware and software capabilities that attract consumers. In this line, the Nova 7 lineup was launched in three models – Nova 7, Nova 7 Pro, and Nova 7 SE.

EMUI 11 is the newest version of Android-based OS to date that offers the latest features and capabilities to fulfill user’s requirements. At the moment, every Huawei phone users want to experience the advance EMUI 11 features.

Back in September, Huawei opened the EMUI 11 beta testing for the Nova 7 lineup and further rollout betas for registered users. As of now, the Nova 7 devices updated to stable EMUI 11 from EMUI 10.1 in the Chinese market. However, the global variant rollout is in the early-stage so, it may take some time to cover all Nova 7 devices.

In the meantime, Huawei has begun to send a new update for the Nova 7 devices in China. The users can identify the update with the update version 11.0.0.143. This update installs the February 2021 security patches for further improvements in the security of the mobile phone system.

Aside from the Nova 7 lineup, Huawei has been planning to launch the next-generation Nova 9 series, featuring the most advanced technology, which will be far way better than the older series.

EMUI  version: Huawei Nova 7 5G and 7 Pro 5G users are upgrading on EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.143 from EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.142 with an update package size of 271 MB.

February 2021 Security Patch Details: This February 2021 security patch fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei smartphones including 2 critical, 26 high, and 77 medium levels of CVEs.

    EMUI version and size may vary.
  • Maintain enough battery and storage on your device.

CHECK FOR UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
