On February 24, during the online Huawei launch conference, Huawei introduced a plan to grow its app distribution platform – AppGallery with new features and more applications. In addition, there’s also a new piece of information that you know about.

During a press briefing of the online Huawei event, Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO, Richard Yu told GadgetMatch that the most popular social networking apps soon be available on AppGallery.

However, there’s no exact date revealed about when these apps will actually be available.

Back in may Huawei was added to the Entity List, U.S. firms including Google, Facebook and Twitter have been prohibited from working with Huawei and the phone maker has to stop pre-installing these apps on its new phones.

Richard Yu mentioned that the US ban affected the launch of Huawei Mate X in the global market and now with its own app store the company is forging ahead with full speed in the global market.

The absence of Google services means that new Huawei phones will equip with Huawei apps such as Huawei AppGallery, Huawei Assistant and Huawei Browser, Huawei Cloud, Huawei Wallet, and Huawei Video, Huawei Music and Huawei Reader.
