Ex Huawei general Li Jian to serve as Honor CEO, Zhao Ming resigned

Honor CEO – Zhao Ming resigned from the company and the former Huawei general – Li Jian is said to take over his responsibilities. The Magic phone maker recently announced the news on its internal website, confirming the CEO’s resignation.

Zhao Ming’s departure from the company has been swirling in rumors for the past few days. Although the details are finally clear and the rumors seemed to be true.

The company has reportedly shared the news on one of its sites, saying that Zhao Ming is resigning and ex-Huawei general – Li Jian would serve as Honor CEO.

As for reasons, the company revealed that Zhao is leaving the company due to certain health issues. The details are unclear but it could be an issue that demands rest.

Honor’s board of directors held a detailed discussion on this matter. After in-depth research, the company accepted Zhao’s resignation and assigned Li Jian as the next CEO of the company. The internal official website of Honor says:

“Due to health reasons, Zhao Ming proposed to resign from the company’s CEO and other related positions. After careful discussion and research, the board of directors decided to respect Zhao Ming’s wishes and accept his resignation. At the same time, it was decided that Li Jian would serve as CEO.”

Li Jian is one of the former Huawei veterans (experts). He entered Huawei’s campus in 2001 and was promoted to the Supervisory Board of the company in 2017.

The executive served his duties in Huawei’s strategic management and global operations. Although Li left the company in 2020-21 and joined Honor as one of the core members of the management team in the human resources (HR) department.
