EMUI April 2025 security details released for Huawei smartphones

It’s April 2025, and Huawei has now listed new security patch details for HarmonyOS and EMUI-powered devices. The company has once again fixed many vulnerabilities with the latest security package, ensuring a bug-free user experience.

Security patches are quite important as they keep your devices up-to-date and eliminate any hidden issues of the device that might ruin the overall performance.

On the flip side, the security rollouts often improve the stability aspects of the phones and increase their potential to fight against harmful malware and privacy exploits.

Huawei is now releasing the HarmonyOS/EMUI April 2025 security patch details for its eligible smartphones. The company hasn’t added any new device to its update policy yet. However, we may see new members by the next patch release.

In the latest edition, Huawei has fixed 13 high and 7 medium-level CVEs. The tech giant has further resolved 1 critical, 13 high, 7 medium, and 6 low levels of third-party library defects.

These vulnerabilities have been mainly affecting the system security as well as the verification module of the device. Hence, make sure to install this EMUI/HarmonyOS update as soon as it reaches your handset. You can check more details below.
