Around five years ago, Huawei began the development of a fully owned operating system – HarmonyOS that is designed for different types of smart devices.

Following the launch, Huawei began HarmonyOS 2.0 closed beta for 28 devices, the company later added more devices in the beta campaign. Yet, beta testing remains limited among Chinese consumers and yet to expand globally.
