Google has recently pushed off the Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3 with its new features and fixes for its Pixel devices. The firmware is available with build version T1B3.221003.003 and promises to improve the overall functioning of the device.

Concerned with the new beta update, the company has released a feedback survey for its Pixel smartphone users. Eventually, Google is trying to ask whether Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3 and its features have met the users’ expectations or not.

While many users have already submitted the feedback form, some users are still wondering what new additions the beta update brings to their Pixel devices.

Let me tell you, that this time there aren’t any new features in the changelog. Instead, the company has dealt with a few internal issues and provided effective fixes for them in the Android 13 beta firmware.

You can have a detailed view of the changelog below.

Developer and user-reported issues

  • Fixed an issue for some devices where the screen unlocks UI was displayed over notifications and other lock-screen content.

Other resolved issues

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the “Flip camera for selfie” gesture from working on some devices.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the screen to go blank while attempting to unlock a device.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented a device from being unlocked using either Face Unlock or FingerPrint Unlock when the device has been idle for multiple hours.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused full-screen video playback to flicker after enabling always-on-display features and locking the screen.

The feedback asks about your experience in thirteen aspects. For instance, stability, performance, battery, device temperature, camera, Bluetooth, call quality, messaging, Wi-Fi connectivity, data connectivity, app experience, authentication, and charging functions.

Generally, these all terms are related to the Android 13 beta 3 fixes. Thereafter, the survey application asks if you would like to see this version as a stable build. Further, you have the option to add your experience in the additional feedback section.

Is Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3 worth upgrading?

The beta 3 package provides a handful of reflective fixes. Perhaps, I don’t feel that one would like to see this firmware as a stable build. Why? I can say this because some users are facing severe issues after installing the respective beta package on their Pixel handsets.

In an ironic twist, these issues have arisen in the same system in which the company has already fixed them. For instance, the company has mended the camera system, but a user is complaining that the night-time picture quality has degraded badly.

Another significant issue has appeared in the battery segment. As per the reports, users are constantly facing extreme battery drain after installing the latest Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3 update. There are more issues, though these have remained in common.

Apart from such issues, a user questioned the Bluetooth instability. Consequently, on connecting the earbuds with the Pixel 6 Pro device, the user was having interruptions in the connection.

After going through such reports, I need to think twice before installing the new beta rollout. Though it might be that only a few devices are encountering such issues. But taking a risk and making the phone’s condition even worse is not my cup of tea.

So Pixel users, what are your thoughts about the new beta update? Do the latest Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3 features and fixes are good for your device? Or were you expecting some more efficient additions? Let us know your reviews in the comment section.
