Recently, a new Qualcomm chipset appeared on Geekbench and allegedly identified as Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, to make things a little bit comparative, we can also compare this new chip with SD Gen 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 9200+.

The devices used on the Geekbench include a new Samsung prototype (possibly Galaxy S24+), S23 Plus, and Vivo X90s. Starting with the Dimensity 9200+ powered Vivo phone, which collects 2117 points on single core and 5583 points on multi-score.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus collected 2005 points on single-core score, and 5274 on multi-core. Coming to the new Samsung SM-S926U model, acquired 2233 points on single-core and 6661 on multi-core.

The top core of this chipset in the Samsung prototype is clocked at 3.3GHz. On the other hand, the Gen 2 and MT 9200+ clocked CPU at 3.36GHz. Looking at the results, all three of the phones have 8GB RAM and the outcome goes into the favor of this new unidentified chipset from Qualcomm.

Aside from these, tipster DigitalChatStation shared the specs of the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and suggest that the chip is processed with TSMC’s N4P technology.

Meanwhile, the cores architecture of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 includes 1 x 3.3GHz X 4 super core + 3 x 3.15GHz A720 large core + 2 x 2.96GHz A720 large core+ 2 x 2.27GHz A520 small core. Also, the gaming performance will be ensured by Adreno 750 GPU.

According to the information, TSMC promises to deliver N4P with an 11 percent performance boost over the original N5 technology and a six percent boost over N4.

The latest Geekbench result shows that the alleged Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has new improvements over its predecessor – Gen 2 and Dimensity 9200+. However, an official announcement about its launch is yet to come.
