Last week, Huawei rolled out a new software update for the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro devices in China, which mainly upgrades the system security with the latest security patches. However, this software release will expand to global models later on.

Following this update, the Huawei P30 Pro users have jumped to the Huawei forum and reported that the phone is draining power faster after upgrading to the recent software version EMUI 11.0.0.137.

In response, some users reported that this problem was there since the EMUI 11.0.0.136. While most of them responded that they’re facing no such issue.

Huawei P30 Pro is the first flagship phone to equip a quad rear camera system, the phone comes with a 4200mAh battery that is rechargeable with a 40W SuperCharge charger and 15W wireless quick charger.

The issue of power drain is quite common when it comes to software updates, as it may bring some kind of application or background service optimizations that may take extra power consumption.

Currently, Huawei has not responded on this matter but we’ll keep you posted if anything new appears.
