April 2023 Huawei EMUI patch information out, as EMUI 13 test continues

Huawei has now released April 2023 security patch information, while the company is testing EMUI 13 with top flagship devices in the global market.

As usual, Huawei has fixed several bugs and issues with this month’s security and it’s important to know that these will soon make it up to your Huawei smartphones along with an OTA update.

For now, Huawei is expanding March 2023 security patch for all global phones. However, we’re yet to witness the March 2023 security patch and this may change very soon.

According to the information, Huawei EMUI April 2023 security patch comes with 10 fixes for high-quality software threats. Also, there are two vulnerabilities found and fixed in the medium level of security exposure. There’s one more CVE fixed from the last software update.

EMUI 13:

In March, Huawei began EMUI 13 beta test on Huawei P50 Pro, P50 Pocket, and Mate Xs 2 smartphones. For now, the company is testing this new EMUI version in limited countries. However, it may soon expand to Europe and the Middle East.

EMUI 13 comes with new service widgets for instance app information. This feature wasn’t a part of the EMUI 12 universe and the Chinese tech maker is finally installing them it to the global Huawei smartphones with EMUI 13.

Interestingly, there are three anticipating features that you should look forward to. These are the new app swipe-up gesture, widget group, and stack widgets as well as better animations.

As compared to EMUI 12, Huawei is also improving the security and privacy section of the EMUI ecosystem with this major software version.

In the meantime, you can check for the latest software update manually via Settings. Also, keep an eye on the Beta app for the latest test project.
