Apple tops while Huawei ranks second in China’s top 500 global brands

China’s 500 global brands listing shows that Huawei has entered the top three ranks. It has achieved the second spot while Apple has grabbed the first position. Brands like Xiaomi, Midea, and Lenovo have joined the top five rankers listing.

China’s 500 global online brands listing is a way to recognize the top tech vendors’ performance in the country. It is based on the consumers’ online purchase behavior. It is being carried out almost every year by Peking University, Beijing.

The report generally shows the overall rating of the brands, which they have received from their consumers, based on various factors. For instance, the brand word search capacity, membership operations, growth, and more.

Apple has scored 100 points and ranked first in this listing. Huawei ranked second in China’s top 500 global online brands ranking with a rating of 95.30.

Xiaomi appeared in the third place with a 95.13 rating. The top three firms belong to the 3C digital industry segment. Other brands in the top five ranking include Midea Group and Haier, the major home appliance makers.

Around 344 companies from the top 500 belong to China in the 3C sub-categories products like computers, communications, and consumer electronic products.

Peking University said that companies like Apple, Huawei, and Xiaomi dominate every category at present. As a result, consumers buy products from these brands due to their popularity, compared to any other brand in the market.

The latest top 500 online brands report shows that there’s an improvement in the overall rating of the Chinese consumer brands, with a stable growth in the consumption quality. Meanwhile, segments like robotics are seeing a sharp growth this time.

Unitree Robotics has become the fastest-growing brand in the smart device category, following the fruitful sales of humanoid robots. Other brands are DJI (drone maker) and AI company iFlytek.

Data further reveals the Consumer Brand Index (CBI) in China jumped from 59.42 to 63.38 in the first quarter of this year. It looks after several aspects to find the top brands, like sales, price, search, positive reviews, and other dimensions.
