Apple is struggling with the iPhone ban in Indonesia amid the talks of Honor entering the country. That not only hints at a major showdown between the two tech giants but also points out major technological offerings for Indonesian consumers.
Inputs reveal that Indonesia blocked the sales of the iPhone 16 series due to investment issues. Apple needs to renew a TKDN certification and fulfill a few investment commitments. Until then, the country won’t allow Apple iPhone 16 sale.
Regarding investment, Apple promised $100 million to the country but had invested only $94.53 million. The Indonesian government rejected it as the company requested the country for more developer academics and centers in Indonesia.
Following these hustles, Indonesia expected around $1 billion from Apple to unblock the iPhone 16 series sale. It also reportedly approved the company’s request to build factories in the region. But that doesn’t end Apple’s problems here.
