In a recent interview, Huawei founder and CEO told that he would oppose China if they retaliate against Apple, in the same interview he also expressed “Apple is my Teacher” but why he would say that? Let’s find out.
While being asked about China’s retaliation against Apple in the same manner as the US to Huawei, Ren answered: “That will not happen, first of all. And second of all, if that happens, I’ll be the first to protest”.
“Apple is my teacher, it’s in the lead. As a student, why go against my teacher? Never”, he added.
The founder of the largest telecom equipment seller and number 2 global smartphone vendor company publically accepted and admired the achievements of Apple, he also has previously that he buys Apple products for his family.
During an interview CNBC in April, Ren said Apple a “great company” and its late founder Steve Jobs a “great man,”.
“Mr. Jobs was great not because he created Apple, but because he created an era, the mobile internet era,” Ren told, “Saying that he was great is an understatement. I think he was super-great.” he added.
Though in Mid-May, the US Commerce Department added Huawei into the trade blacklist and imposed restrictions that’ll make it very difficult for the company to do business with American firms to get new component and software services that it requires.
Even after his clear view for the US tech firms, the current government is not in the mood to reply the company in the same manners but to react on the US restriction, Ren told “Huawei will do whatever it takes to survive. It will ignore the noise while doing its business the best it can”.
