Android 16 UI animations can be more expressive than ever

Google is planning a major overhaul for UI and animations in Android 16, and a new leak has revealed some interesting tweaks on this matter. The upcoming software upgrade will look a lot different than what you think and have right now!

Android Authority shows off some amazing UI animations of Android 16. In the latest report, Mishaal Rahman – the Android expert has covered almost every section of the home screen that has more expressive animations than ever before.

Inputs reveal that these changes are not only subtle but also impressive and clear. Also, the company has made animations smoother and more polished over previous builds.

Starting with the notification panel, it will show a virtual friction whenever you swipe a notification. Tabs like “Silent” will also move while interacting with notifications.

The recent apps menu will show you apps jiggling around when not swiping away an app completely. When enabling a Quick Settings tile, the feature icon will form a shape. Enabling the tile will push the nearby tiles slightly, giving a cute finish.

Whenever users trigger a voice assistant, a squeeze animation will show up. On the other hand, the volume indicator will show a wave-like pattern when the audio is playing. Users will further observe animations when tapping on the lock screen clock.

Even though all these animation changes aren’t major, they add a touch of innovative experience to Android 16. Over time, Google may introduce more such unique enhancements to the software, making the overall experience far better.
