Android 16 Quick Settings to make removal of unwanted tiles easier

Google is revamping the Quick Settings tiles with Android 16. The company aims to make the addition and removal of tiles easier than ever. It is adding a few tweaks to the Quick Settings interface, making it more comprehensive for phone users.
Android 16 will be the next major upgrade in the Google world. The version will not only launch sooner than expected but also bring big changes over previous builds.
One such enhancement will be the Control Center interface. The company has been working on the “resizing tiles” capability with a new iteration. Now it seems Google has more plans for the Quick Settings tiles of the upcoming Android 16.
Inputs reveal that the next software build will ease the removal of unwanted tiles from the Quick Settings interface. Earlier, AndroidAuthority showed an interface that would enable users to rearrange, stretch, or collapse tile entries in Quick Settings.
The feature would further let you keep a tile as a compact icon or an icon with a text label as your preference. Now a Telegram Account – MysticLeaks showed that Android 16 will also let easily remove any tile from the Quick Settings interface.

The leaked details reveal “+” and “-” badges on the top of the tiles. Earlier, users need to drag a new tile in the Quick Settings to remove the unwanted one.
But that won’t be the case anymore. One can directly click on the plus or the minus icon to add or remove the tile from the Quick Settings interface.
While it’s a minor change, it enhances user interaction and makes Quick Settings more comprehensive for users. One doesn’t need to spend much time to add or remove any tiles from the interface. It would be worth seeing if the company brings this change with the stable Android 16 upgrade.
