Android 16 QPR1 has personalized photo wallpaper suggestions feature

Are you someone who prefers personal photos as your phone’s wallpaper over abstract and landscape images? If yes, then Android 16 QPR1 is now bringing a personalized photo wallpaper suggestions feature to ease UI customization for you.
Google is adding a new feature to Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1 – personalized photo wallpaper suggestions. AndroidAuthority spotted some strings on the Google Photos and the Wallpaper & Styles app that hint at the new feature’s existence.
“string name=”choose_a_curated_photo_section_title”>Suggested photos</string>”
This string has appeared in the Wallpaper & Styles app from the Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1 update. Even though it doesn’t mention the things directly, another string in the Google Photos implies that users will get suggestions to set their photos as wallpapers on their home or lock screen, accordingly.
After installing the latest Google Play System update or updating Google Photos app to v7.31, the Wallpaper and Styles app will recommend walls directly from the Google Photos libraries in the main wallpaper selection area.

Looking into the details, it seems the feature will specifically select pets and people photos that you can easily set on your home screen or the lock screen.
In case you don’t find the feature in the Wallpaper and Styles app, you can access it from Google Photos. Note that this feature is currently available only to Pixel device owners. But it may soon reach non-Pixel devices in the time ahead.
