Huawei is rolling out a brand new software update for the global users of P40 Pro but the company also landed confusion without mentioning this amazing flagship in the EMUI 13 upgrade plan.

Huawei recently shared the details of the EMUI 13 rollout plan, which is causing doubts due to its length and handful of models. Another point raising confusion on EMUI 13 comes from the status of old devices such as Huawei P40 Pro and Mate 30 Pro.

These are prominent smartphones and deserves next-gen EMUI update but we also can’t take the current plan as final. Therefore, we will have to wait for more information on this matter.

New Update:

Huawei is sending a new update for Huawei P40 Pro global variant with EMUI firmware version 12.0.0.320 and a relatively small package size to download. In detail, the update only brings a security patch for the consumers and there’s no feature or optimization recorded for the system.

Given the fact that Huawei P40 Pro is the first flagship phone with HMS-only mobile app, the company should continue to provide continuous support for its users.

Speaking of which, Huawei P40 Pro is eligible to get EMUI 13 and even EMUI 14 in the pipeline. We hope that Huawei will rectify the current roadmap and come up with a more broad adaptation of this new software.
