Alleged Huawei Pura 80 Ultra camera module leaked in live image

Huawei is ready to unveil the Pura 80 series in June, but a live image leak has just allegedly revealed the camera module of the upcoming Pura 80 Ultra variant. The device seems real, which might have been supplied to some users for evaluation.

The live image leak shows a hands-on of the alleged Huawei Pura 80 Ultra camera module. It reveals the design secrets to some extent, which was a mystery until now.

Earlier, Weibo tipster @FixedFocus shared the image of four smartphones, out of which, the upper left device seemed to be the Pura 80 Ultra. It has appeared in an ongoing outdoor shot, probably for some pre-launch tests.

Although the tipster deleted the picture, X blogger @rajAnoop_ managed to capture the image and share it with us. Let’s explore the images in detail.

Looking into the images, the flagship handset is wrapped in a rugged cover to keep the design details a secret. Although the lens arrangement hints that the device still has a triangular lens arrangement, just like the previous-gen model.

The entire camera module appears quite big, similar to what we have seen in the allegedly leaked image (see here). It seemingly covers at least half of the phone’s back.

The X tipster further suggested that the Pura 80 Ultra is equipped with dual periscope lenses. If true, this implementation will take macrophotography to the next level, offering an advanced imaging experience to consumers.

DigitalChatStation also suggested that the company has tested dual periscope setup for the Pura 80 Ultra. Both sensors are of 50MP coupled with RYYB filter.

Other than that, the primary camera and ultrawide lenses are arranged in the same way as the Pura 70 Ultra. The details are quite unclear at the moment. Though the new leak is enough to suggest that the upcoming model will have major camera upgrades.

Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is also expected to feature an advanced main camera and ultrawide sensors this time. It could further bring the Mate 70’s multi-spectral lens on board.

These enhancements will eventually make the Pura 80 Ultra the best camera smartphone on the market.
