Huawei Dongfeng new EVs

Huawei and Dongfeng Group have signed a cooperation agreement to build new EVs. Both parties will indulge in developing mid-range and high-end smart cars. They will also work to generate a smarter travel experience than any other EVs.

Dongfeng Motor Corporation has developed several brands to date. The recent one jointly built with Huawei is Voyah with the advanced driving solutions.

Now Dongfeng aims to expand its Yipai brand by collaborating with Huawei and developing new EVs. Both companies penned the deal at Huawei’s Shenzhen headquarters.

Yipai brand was launched in 2023 and currently owes two cars: Yipai (eπ) 007 sedan and eπ 008 crossover. The sales of both these cars reached 45,4447 units last year. But Yipai car sales figure is lesser than Huawei AITO (385,904 units).

Dongfeng would have further noticed that Voyah Dreamer (jointly built with Huawei Driving Solutions) made 23,754 from January to August last year while obtaining 31,363 unit shipments in the last four months of 2024.

Perhaps, cooperation with Huawei Smart Automotive Solutions Group seems effective to Dongfeng in every aspect. Under this deal, Huawei and Dongfeng will:

“…deepen cooperation in the fields of smart car product development, marketing, and ecological services, create the ultimate smart travel experience based on user needs, and jointly create a series of mid-to-high-end smart vehicle products.”
