After video quality, WhatsApp is also working on photo quality options

WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow you to select the quality of the uploaded photo while uploading the file from the device.

According to WABetainfo, the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.14.16 update brings this feature to Android devices. The new photo quality settings allow users to send images using their desired quality.

For your information, a similar feature has been added to the video upload section of WhatsApp, which allows users to upload the video and send them to the chat contacts in the available three quality options.

The new photo quality options are:

• Auto (recommended): Whats will choose between best quality and data saver and apply one of these according to your connection.
• Best Quality: Will upload every video in high quality
• Data Saver: Will compress and send your uploaded video

Currently, this feature is under development and it’s available under the beta program. However, it’ll roll out for the regular WhatsApp users with a stable release.
