Honor has now confirmed its entry into the humanoid robotics industry to boost its AI growth. The company is taking steps similar to its former parent firm, Huawei, and aims to be a part of the powerful artificial intelligence-based segment.

On May 28, during the Honor 400 series launch event in China, the OEM confirmed that it is making way in the humanoid robotics industry to seek new business opportunities.

The company has already announced a massive $10 billion investment in the AI field in March this year. Hence, the latest seems an initiative towards new goals.

Speaking of Huawei, the company has been involved in the Chinese robot industry for a long while. The tech giant jointly made the Kuafu humanoid robot, relying on the Pangu model. Companies like NIO have tested HarmonyOS-based robots.

A recent report revealed that Huawei is heavily investing in the humanoid robotics industry to boost its AI growth. It even teamed up with UBTECH to advance its humanoid robots for factories and households.

Looks like Honor is also planning to take advantage of this segment in its AI development. In a recent robot half-marathon hosted by Beijing, the CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, said that the Chinese robotic field has the potential to turn into a trillion-dollar industry, especially in factories and warehouses.

Eventually, China is currently in the lead when it comes to humanoid robots. It is giving rise to promising startups that recently joined the game. Hence, Honor’s step into this field can help the company to do better in the AI segment.
