EMUI 8.0 (Android 8.0 Oreo) update rollout started for Mate8/P9/P9 Plus/Honor 8/ V8/Note8/Play 6X

Huawei has officially announced that the Mate 8, P9, P9 Plus, honor 8, honor V8, honor NOTE8, and honor Play 6X phones started to receiving the EMUI 8.0 (Android 8.0 Oreo) update.

The EMUI 8.0 update for the models mentioned above will be pushed every day at 10:00 am from July 9th to July 15th, in this time period these devices will be updated in batches of 5000 upgrades per day for each model.

Interested users who want to upgrade can find the upgraded as early adopters through the member service app. After submitting the application for an upgrade, the new version update will be poped in system update section of the phone.



This update through member services is the same as OTA update and in terms of stability, functionality, and compatibility this update is tested as bug-free.

According to Huawei,  the upgrade process previously reached up to 13 old models including new flagships such as the Mate 10 series, Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro and Mate 9, Porsche, P10, P10 Plus, honor 9, honor V9, honor 8 Youth Edition, honor 7X, Nova Youth Edition, Nova 2, Nova 2 Plus, Maimang 6.

Plus this upgrade including Mate 8, P9, P9 plus, honor 8, honor V8, honor Note 8, and honor Play 6X. The number of old models that support latest EMUI versions now reached 20.
